The Introduction to Grassroots Coaching takes only 20 minutes to complete and provides foundational information about coaching soccer. When you complete the course, please let us know by taking a screen shot of your completion certificate or paid receipt and sending to [email protected].
Recreation coaches have the option to take the online 4v4, 7v7, 9v9 or 11v11 training which can be accessed through your DCC portal under Online Courses. The cost is $25 and is reimbursable by Stafford Soccer.
Academy coaches are required to take one of the online grassroots courses (4v4, 7v7, 9v9 or 11v11) and one in person grassroots course (4v4, 7v7, 9v9 or 11v11).
If coaches consider progressing on to the USSF education pathway to the D license (next license after grassroots), you will need to take ONE of the online grassroots courses and TWO of the in-person grassroots courses, one of which must be 11v11. These courses are reimbursable by Stafford Soccer as well.
Our state association, VYSA does provide some of the in person courses, CLICK HERE to access their schedule. Or you can utilize the search mechanism under “In-Person Courses” on your DCC page. Costs for the In-Person modules are set by the club hosting.
Should Stafford Soccer schedule an in person grassroots course, notification will be sent at least 2 weeks in advance of the date of the course.
