Our recreation program is comprised of parent/family and community volunteers as Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches.  We rely on our volunteers to maintain a strong recreation program.  Coaching a team with Stafford Soccer is often a very rewarding position where you can make a difference in not only your child's life, but the life of other children in your community!  Please contact [email protected] or call 540.657.0734 and say you'll coach a team for the upcoming Season!

You don't have to be a former National Team player to be a great coach, in fact we give you all the information you'll need to run an effective practice.  There are lots of great reasons to become a coach.

Here are the specifics:

• Head Coaches select their practice time and location from the fields available in your location
• U6 and U8 Coaches practice 1X per week and most games are on Saturdays (possible game play in the evenings during the week)
• U10 and above Coaches practice 2X per week and most games are on Saturdays (possible game play in the evenings during the week)
• Coaches receive support from the office and technical staff
• All needed equipment is provided
• Coaching session ideas and videos for each age group can be found on our website and are accessible from your smart phone
• As part of our continued quest to have quality and informed coaches across every division within our club, Stafford Soccer covers the fees for coaches who choose to take part in coaching licensure offered by our state association, VYSA

• Coaches meeting will be held at on Saturday, Aug 17, 2024 from 9:00am-10:30am, Stafford Hospital, 101 Hospital Center Blvd, Stafford, VA 22554
• Both head coaches and assistant coaches are invited to attend the Coaches Meeting 
• All registered coaches are welcome to attend our COACHES TRAINING SESSION, led by our technical staff. Schedule below:
