2024-25 Fall/Spring Revolution Academy

Stafford Soccer offers several different divisions of soccer, Recreation, Revolution Academy and Travel. Within these divisions we offer programs for U5 through U19 players. U5 and U6 Recreation and ALL Travel age groups are formulated by the player’s true age, wherein the Recreation Division (U8-High School) and Revolution Academy age groups are made up of players within a two-year age range. The age groups are established by VYSA (Virginia Youth Soccer) and abided by Stafford Soccer.

The Revolution Academy (also referred to as the Academy) is an advanced recreational program that seeks to bridge the gap between Stafford Soccer’s Recreational division and Revolution Travel providing players an environment in which they can develop and hone their skills. The Revolution Academy strives to teach a greater understanding of the game of soccer, improve technical development, and to instill self-confidence in players who demonstrate the potential for development in to the Travel program. This is accomplished through advanced skills training by certified and licensed volunteer coaches, dedicated professional training sessions throughout the season, competitive in-house gameplay, and a possible end-of-year tournament with other clubs.

U10 Revolution Academy (date of birth, August 1, 2014 – July 31, 2016) at this age, requires acceptance based on a try-out, is more competitive and is considered to be the developmental division to prepare players for possible Travel division if selected and wish to join. Coaches are required to hold a coaching certification (Contact the program director for specifics). Games are 50 minutes long and are typically played on Saturdays with some gameplay taking place during the week. There are no more than 3 Stafford Soccer sanctioned events per week for this age group and division. Teams are formed based on player skill and ability in order to most-equally balance teams. Specific practice fields and times are scheduled by the field’s coordinator and selected by the volunteer coach. You will not know the weeknight practice schedule prior to the beginning of the season. No refunds will be given for personal practice conflicts. The registration fee is $145.

U12 Revolution Academy (date  of  birth, August 1, 2012  –  July 31, 2014), at this age, requires acceptance based on a try-out, is more competitive and is considered to be a developmental division to possibly prepare players for the Travel division, if selected, and wish to join. Coaches are required to hold a coaching certification (Contact the program director for specifics).  Games are 50 minutes long and are typically played on Saturdays with some game play taking place during the week. There are no more than 3 Stafford Soccer sanctioned events per week for this age group and division. Teams are formed based on player skill and ability in order to most-equally balance teams. Games are 70 minutes long and are typically played on Saturdays with some game play taking place during the week. There are no more than 3 Stafford Soccer sanctioned events per week for this age group and division. Teams are formed based on player skill and ability to more equally balance teams. Specific practice fields and times are scheduled by the field’s coordinator and selected by the volunteer coach. You will not know the weeknight practice schedule prior to the beginning of the season. No refunds will be given for personal practice conflicts. The registration fee is $155.
