- A Team's Head Coach is responsible for the team, any actions taken by members of the team are ultimately held accountable by the coach.
- All player decisions are to be made by the Coach and the Club’s Technical Staff; Team Managers and Parents have no input in to these decisions.
- No sideline coaching. Players should hear a consistent voice of instruction from one Coach on the field.
- Parents should not be in the Technical Area with the players during practice or games; ONLY Coaches and Assistant Coaches should provide technical direction to the players
- Parental inquiries that are technical in nature should be routed to the Coach.
- Move-up requests must be submitted by the Coach then reviewed and approved by the club’s Technical Staff.
- Administrative matters should be the Manager’s responsibility; rosters, player passes, etc. All items should be routed through the appropriate League Rep prior to submission to the appropriate registrar.
- Under no circumstances should any Team member contact the leagues directly, all issues should be routed through the Coach or Club Technical Staff.
- Field requests need to be routed to Fields Coordinator, with CC to Technical Staff. Requests coming directly to Technical staff or Board Members will be routed back to the requester, with a CC to the Coach.
- Coaches need to schedule private discussions with parents and players and provide feedback on player development. These discussions should not be held after a game or in a public forum.
- Under NO circumstances should any team members contact any players on other teams, for any reason. Any requests to play/guest should be routed to the Coach of the team, that includes any/all teams; Classic, Rec, Travel in SASA and in other clubs.
- Players, parents and Coaches will always conduct themselves in an appropriate manner and present themselves as models of good sportsmanship. Profanity and other vulgar behavior will not be tolerated.
- Under no circumstance, should a team member (parents, relatives, friends or players) approach, talk to, or challenge, an opponent, Referee or Coach, during, before or after a game.
- Only carded players, team coaches and officials are allowed on the team sidelines before, during and after a game or scrimmage. Leagues have very stiff penalties for teams that violate this rule.
- Travel Soccer is highly competitive, and NOT a purely recreational activity.
- We will always prepare to win, however, we will not sacrifice the fundamentals and skills we’ve learned during our training sessions just for the sake of winning.
- We will always respect the rules, officials, opponents, teammates, ourselves, and the spirit of the game while striving to excel in a highly competitive and challenging environment.
