Travel and Classic Tryouts for Fall 2010

SASA is holding its tryout between May 24th and June 16th for the Fall 2010 season. We, as a Club, welcome you to Tryout for the upcoming season.

Location:
The field locations will be Smith Lake, Duff Green Park and Pratt Park. Directions can be found
here.

The Tryout Process:
Players will register on line for their relevant age groups. (All travel prospects MUST tryout for their true age group based on their date of birth).
When players arrive at the field they will report to the registration area, sign in and will be issued a tryout number.
Players will then be directed to the field where they will be met by the team coaches.
The team coaches will explain the try-out procedure to all players and what they will be evaluated on.
Our tryouts are small, sided games so that players have the opportunity to show their playing ability to the evaluating coaches.
When the tryout is finished the coaches will address the players before they leave the field.
The players must remember their number and turn it in to the registration table.

Tryout results:
All results for players trying out for travel in the U9 to U14 age brackets will be posted on the travel team’s individual web page on June 14th. Players in U15 and up will be posted on June 19th. Their tryout number will be posted on the web page, not name.
Classic players tryout results will be posted via their tryout number under the Classic tab on the SASA website. A link will be posted on the site once the results are complete.

All players trying out should bring the following equipment:
A white or grey tee shirt
Soccer shorts
Soccer socks
Soccer Cleats
Shin guards
Water bottle
A soccer ball
As a parent you may need to be aware of some of the following points before committing to travel or classic soccer. Please view the side-by-side comparison of the divisions SASA offers. Click here.

Although not mandatory, it is STRONGLY recommended that all players trying out attend both the first and second dates as listed on the schedule.  Attending both tryouts will allow the player to be assessed based on two showings rather than just one. Click here for the try-out schedule.
